Generate all sorts of random things for your role-playing game campaigns

Use Inspiration Pad Pro to generate all sorts of random things for your tabletop role-playing game campaigns. Inspiration Pad Pro is much more than just a simple random name generator. With Inspiration Pad Pro, you can generate random names, town information, encounters, treasures - you name it! Authors, game designers, and anyone else who might need to be inspired by random content will also find Inspiration Pad Pro useful.Inspiration Pad Pro uses special files called generators to tell it how to generate information for you. You can create your own, modify existing generators, or just use the ones included with the program as-is. Because of this, its easy to customize generators to the needs of your own specific campaign or fictional world. The example random generators included with this package: - Bandit Loot- Dwarf Names- Elf Names- Fantasy Book Shelf- Fantasy Names, Female- Fantasy Names, Male- Gnome Names- Halfling Names, Female- Halfling Names, Male- Kobold Names- Orc Hoard- Orc Names- Picked Pockets- Rustic Town Names- Scenario Hooks- Steampunk Names, Female- Steampunk Names, Male- Tavern Names- US Names, Female- US Names, MaleCreating and Editing GeneratorsTo edit the existing generators, locate the /InspirationPadPro directory, which gets created on the first run of the app. In that directory you will see a number of files that end with a file extension of ".ipt". These files can be edited with any text editor. To create a new random generator, use a text editor to create a generator file with a ".ipt" extension, and save it in that directory. A PDF guide to creating generators is available here: http://www.nbos.com/nox/index.php?action=1001&id=537 . The PDF is also included in the desktop edition, which can be downloaded from our website (http://www.nbos.com).Current Limitations:- Unicode text in generator files is not supported- Generators with parameters are not supported yet- This edition does not contain an integrated editor like the desktop edition does. But you can use any text editor to create and edit generators right on your device.Update 1.01 (Dec 16, 2013)Summary: Faster start up, display fixes[Fixed] The n tag was not outputting a line break.[Fixed] Accented and other extended ASCII characters now display correctly.[Fixed] Added Scan for files setting which tells the program to either scan the entire SD card, or only scan the apps directory for .IPT files. Setting it to only scan the apps directory speeds up launch time.[Fixed] Minor formatting change in the style templates for the results

No prompts? Seriously? I obviously didnt expect it to let me edit the files like the PC version, but... At least I hoped it would RUN THEM!! Nope, made an ipt generator with the PC program that has prompts inputted by the user but that feature simply does not exist here. This app only runs ipt tables that dont have any prompts. Waste of two bucks, do not buy.

This app is NOT equal to the PC software. Not worth the price, hasn't been updated since 2013. Total waste of money. There are free apps that do this better

Walter Singleton

Not worth the asking price. It's mostly names, which you can generate online for free, and only a few other ones that are just ok. If you want a good random generator app, get Adventuresmith which is free.

Handy

Awesome. and ive only just learned the basics

Richard George

Absolutely the best table rolling app, a must have for any GM! Two features from the desktop version that I sorely miss: ability to organize table files in subfolders (everything's a flat list on android), and ability to supply input parameters. What do you say devs, any chance of either of these any time soon?

Great for Gamers!!!!

Iz G2

Excellent app very customisable and can prepare quite complicated tables on a PC.

If you want a character name generation app, this one is worth paying for.
